Last week I was pleased to join with many members of the PTSA, both from Eastside King County and across the state. They were in Olympia for the annual “Legislative Focus Day” to meet with lawmakers, share their concerns and ideas, and lend their collective voice for all those involved in educating our students.
As a former president and treasurer of my local PTSA it was great to address them in the Capitol building and share an update on the work we’re doing for public education. The time I spent tutoring students and being involved in my local PTSA inspired me to head to Olympia and represent our community.
Thank you to everyone who made the drive down and for dedicating yourselves to working on behalf of our students.
