Finance Guide: K-12 Education

Below is a link to the 2012 Citizen’s Guide to Washington State: K-12 Finance, which is an incredible resource that provides an in-depth look at state education funding and the many layers that make up our K-12 appropriations in the budget.

The citizen’s finance guides are put together by the Senate’s nonpartisan Ways & Means Committee staff and have a great deal of interesting data, policy information and background, spending trends, and answer many of the most frequently asked questions.

The K-12 finance guide is a great piece to begin the resource section of the blog as the recent McCleary decision regarding education funding is going to be one of the most important and widely talked about issues facing our state in the near future.
